Originally, the idea was this. Two sisters spending one year creating art, or at least creating, every day using only supplies that they already have, get for free, find, or receive...looking to rediscover the artistic selves they've lost somewhere along the way in all the clutter of life... But it didn't fit into life, and so now who knows what you might find?!!

pillars of the earth


I loved Ken Follet's Pillars of the Earth, it was well worth the 900+ pages of reading - what a fascinatining time in history when cathedrals were built from only what the earth gave us, wood and stone.  And the stone was moved by pulleys, work animals and men. To think that these monuments were built hundreds of years ago and still stand majestcially today is just a little mind blowing, don't you think?
