Originally, the idea was this. Two sisters spending one year creating art, or at least creating, every day using only supplies that they already have, get for free, find, or receive...looking to rediscover the artistic selves they've lost somewhere along the way in all the clutter of life... But it didn't fit into life, and so now who knows what you might find?!!

Just quoting the raven...


As I was reading the New York Times this morning (well, part of it - there's still stacks more to read and it usually takes me most of the week and suddenly it's Sunday again...) I was whining to my husband that my creativity feels like it's draining; I don't feel like I have enough hours to create what's in my mind, and besides, the paint doesn't dry fast enough, anyway.  So I thought I'd use the newspaper's front page for inspiration for the week, but after reading about radiation leaking into the ocean, Trump running for president, the troubles all over the Middle East, genocide in Dakar, well my little author cards started looking better to me.  Quoth the Raven, "Nevermore!" I imagine this line from "The Raven" must be one of the most used ever, and Poe penned this poem in 1845.
